Accommodation for your dream holiday

The choice is yours, the selection of accommodation is as diverse as Tuscany itself. Everything from the most luxurious villas, castles and idyllic holiday homes in the country to bed & breakfasts and youth hostels can all be found here.

You will often stay in buildings that have a special atmosphere. Hardly any houses are specifically built for tourism.

Numerous old land seats, wine growing estates, castles, monasteries, farmhouses, as well as townhouses have been restored and offer guests special flair. Anonymous holiday resorts, where every bungalow is the same, are nowhere to be found throughout Tuscany.

Agriturismo - Holiday homes and farmyards in the country

What began as a holiday on a farmyard has developed into agrituismo, a very popular type of holiday. Old wine growing estates, villas, beautiful farmhouses and historical castles are now used as holiday residences due to their unique charm.

Depending on the standard of accommodation, you can experience uncomplicated holidays on a working farm. Or you can let yourself be charmed by old castles, walk through a park with ancient oak trees, or let yourself be pampered in the elegant atmosphere of riding stalls with first class service.

Hotels

Hotels in Tuscany are generally of a high standard. A scale of one to five stars classifies the hotels, the ambience stretches from rustic and simple to elegant and luxurious. Anyone who stays in a hotel will enjoy good service and a beautiful ambience.

Countless hotels of the highest standard can be found on traditional wine growing estates, in Jugendstil or Renaissance villas or in representative townhouses.

Bed & Breakfast - private room

The choice of nicely decorated private rooms in bed & breakfasts is growing fast. Bed & Breakfast in small pensions or private homes allows you to enjoy plenty of contact with the locals. Depending on the place, the rooms offer different degrees of comfort.

Youth hostels

Youth hostels, the ostelli or alberghi per la gioventuhave established themselves throughout Tuscany. There are 15 in total and they are open to the public, families are also welcome.

During the high season, it is vital to book a room well in advance. An international youth hostel card is helpful. Youth hostels in Italy usually lock their doors before midnight.

Camping

Campers have the choice between simple grounds, those with entertainment and luxury camping grounds with their own pool. There are small and large ones, but one thing is the same everywhere, you should book a spot well in advance during the summer months.

Wild camping is forbidden in Tuscany.
